Tamara Finley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Tamara Jean “Tammy” Finley, daughter of Jerry and Cheryl Palmer Goring, was born December 23, 1977, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, March 10, 2016, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of thirty-eight years, two months, and seventeen days.
On April 5, 1995, she was united in marriage to Donnie E. Finley, and they shared the last twenty years.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheyenne Nicole Finley.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Donnie, of the home; two daughters, Shelby and Treva Finley, of the home; two sons, Jonathan and Michael Finley, both of the home; her mother, Cheryl Goring, of Falcon, Missouri; her father, Jerry Goring, of Eldridge, Missouri; two brothers, Jerry Goring and Jason Goring, both of Eldridge, Missouri; a sister, Kim Haines, of Sedalia, Missouri; her maternal grandfather, Lester Palmer, of Waukesha, Wisconsin; a number of other relatives and many friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. After she and Donnie were married, they made their home in the Falcon community, and lovingly raised their children. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Tammy had also worked for Justice Furniture Manufacturing Company for the last several years. She was currently a quality control supervisor for Justice.
Tammy had attended Mount Carney Christian Church.
She liked being outdoors where she particularly enjoyed fishing and hunting. She had a fondness for animals and especially horses. She also liked working on cars. She was a “one of a kind” person who loved everyone. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Tammy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
