Tammie Violet Krogel (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Tammie Violet Krogel, daughter of Junior and Nancy Cato Massey, was born July 14, 1968, in Elgin, Illinois. She departed this life Friday, September 20, 2019, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-one years, two months, and six days.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jesse Hicks.
Tammie is survived by three daughters, Christy Gibbs, and her husband, Jared, Joann O’Dell, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Tiffany Aldridge, and her husband, Ray, of Springfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren; her mother, Nancy Clay, and her husband, Gary, of Seymour, Missouri; her father, Junior Massey, of Forsyth, Missouri; two brothers, Melvin Massey, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Randy Massey, of Marshfield, Missouri; two sisters, Sherrie Massey, of Marshfield, Missouri, and Brenda Massey, of Kansas City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Illinois and was raised in Bernie and Lebanon, Missouri. She graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1986. She worked for the Lebanon Human Society, now Lebanon Claws and Paws, for several years, and then was a clerk at the Russell Stover Candy Store for a time.
Tammie had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Community Baptist Church near Lebanon.
She had a great love for animals, liked doing latch hook projects, and enjoyed spending time on the river. She also really liked eating chocolate. She possessed a strong personality but was very loving and caring. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Tammie was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
