Tammy Sue Porter (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Tammy Sue Porter, daughter of Jimmy and Joyce DeVore Blackburn, was born October 2, 1969, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, May 28, 2020, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty years, seven months, and twenty-six days.
Her father preceded her in death.
Tammy is survived by two sons, Richard Porter and Ethan Porter, both of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Michael, Daisy, and Abel; her mother, Joyce Blackburn, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Jimmy Blackburn, and Jackie Blackburn, both of Stoutland, Missouri; two sisters, Angie VanPatton, and Tonya Blackburn, both of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She lived most of her life in the Lebanon and Stoutland communities. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, she also worked as a caregiver to home bound people.
In her spare time she loved playing all kinds of games, and especially computer games. She greatly enjoyed being on the computer. She was also an excellent cook and enjoyed making special recipes for her family and friends. She loved getting together with her friends and family to sing and play music. Her family was very dear to her and she particularly liked having time with her grandchildren.
Tammy was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri. Friends may also come by the funeral home to sign the memorial book at their convenience, and/or go to her obituary page on our website to leave condolences for the family.
A memorial as been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
