Teresa Wills (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Teresa Ann Wills of Lebanon, Missouri, daughter of Billy Ross Wills and Margaret Alice Stratton Wills, was born April 23, 1955 in Lebanon, Missouri. She passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. At the time of her passing, she was sixty-eight years and twenty-eight days old.
Teresa spent her life in the Lebanon and Conway area and graduated from Conway High School. She continued her education at Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) where she graduated with honors with an education degree.
She began her career in education at Lebanon Middle School where she taught children with special needs. Her students were the love of her life. She continued her education and earned a Masters Degree from Missouri State University. She took a position in administration with Lebanon Schools and would retire from this position after devoting more than thirty years to her career.
Teresa loved animals. She especially loved the dogs in her own family, Watson, Odie, Spotty, Toby and Buddy.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Wills and her brother, George Ross Wills, both of whom she had a close and loving relationship; and her nephew, Mark Jason Brewer.
Teresa is survived by her father, Billy Ross Wills of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Loretta Brewer and her husband, Steve of Springfield, Missouri; her beloved nephew, Shane Justin Brewer of Republic; and many friends and other relatives.
She professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized early in her life. She attended the Methodist Church in Phillipsburg.
Teresa loved reading, making jewelry, and opera. She supported several foundations for Native Americans and foundations to preserve the Wolf. She also loved gardening, nature and birds. She would put out bird seed for the birds and the squirrels. The Cardinal was her favorite bird and she counted more than two dozen Cardinals in her yard.
She was always generous and loving to her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Teresa will leave a legacy that will live on for years to come in the lives she had the privilege to teach and to know. We are comforted by the assurance of her now being in the presence of God the Father.
Private family graveside services will be held for Teresa Wills. Friends may come by to sign the guest book at the funeral home at their convenience.
