Terry Ice's Obituary
Terry Fenton Ice, son of Ralph Kenneth and Iola Catherine Midyett Ice, was born March 6, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, eleven months, and twenty-seven days. On December 4, 1976, he was united in marriage to Jackie Lynn Clarke, and this union was blessed with three daughters. He was preceded in death by his father; his step-mother, Lois Jeannie Ice; and a brother, Cary Ice. Terry is survived by his wife, Jackie, of the home; three daughters, Candi Miranda, and her husband, Joe, of Portland, Oregon, Jennifer Ice, and her husband, Brandon Delgado, of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kelly Ice Blunt, of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren; his mother, Iola Shell, of St. Joseph, Missouri; two brothers, Larry Ice, and his wife, Nancy, of Sahuarita, Arizona; and Harlan Roberts, and his wife, Cheryl, of Cameron, Missouri; two sisters, Linda Rumery, and her husband, Terry, of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Shirley Schmidt, and her husband, Casey, of Maryville, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and then moved with his family to California where he graduated from high school in Lompoc, California. After graduating from the University of Southern California, he continued to live in the Paso Robles area and he and Jackie soon married and started their family. In 1985, the family moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and Terry began working for the Wal-Mart Company. He had held several different positions throughout his twenty-three year career, but was currently a department manager at the Wal-Mart Store in Lebanon. In addition to that career, he had also owned and operated a farm where he raised Charolais and Limousin cattle. Terry had professed his faith in Christ and was a member of First Congregational Church of Lebanon. He had volunteered at the Hughes Senior Center and helped in delivering Meals-on-Wheels. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, and Beanie Babies. He also liked fishing, both for trout and in the ocean. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 6, 2010 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation is Friday evening 6-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the First Congregational Church.
