Tessie Hinds' Obituary
Tessie Hinds, 76, of Glendale, Arizona, formerly of Springfield and Seymour, Missouri, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 3, 2008, in her home. Our beautiful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dearest friend, was born February 11, 1932 in Seymour, Missouri, to Siegfried and Edith (Cook) Lorenz. Tess owned and operated Tess’ Wigs on Commercial Street in Springfield, Missouri for over thirty years before retiring and moving to Arizona. Tess’ greatest desire in life was to go home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ. Before moving to Arizona she was a member of the Truth Tabernacle Church in Springfield. While mourning her loss, we are consoled by knowing that she is in a better place with our Heavenly Father; her parents, Siegfried and Edith Lorenz; her husband, Larry D. Hinds; and her son James Edward Sartin. She is survived by her children, Judy Henderson of Chillicothe, Missouri, Larry Sartin of Springfield, Missouri, Mike Sartin of Phoenix, Arizona, Joy Burk and Jennifer Myer of Springfield, Missouri, JoElla Sartin of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jeffrey Sartin of Youngtown, Arizona, and Lorinda Newlon of Springfield, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; her sister, Wanda Blankenship of Rogersville, Missouri; two brothers, Oscar Lorenz of Seymour, Missouri, and Wayne Lorenz of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; and her dearest friends. Services will be at 1:30pm Friday at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:30-7:30pm. And burial will be at Mt. Comfort Cemetery at Ebenezer, Missouri,and are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missoui. Return to top
