Theo Nathan Thomas' Obituary
Theo Nathan Thomas, son of James L. and Sandra K. Goddard Thomas, was born March 31, 1976, in Washington, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, March 3, 2006, from injuries received in an automobile accident near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of twenty-nine years, eleven months, and two days. His parents; and an infant brother, Howard “Buddy” Thomas, preceded him in death. Nathan is survived by a brother, Ernie Thomas, and his wife, Kathleen, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was raised in the Fort Scott, Kansas area, and graduated from Joplin High School. He then attended Missouri Southern University in Joplin. He made his home in Key West, Florida for the last several years where he had worked as a chef and a club bouncer for a few years. He then worked for the Florida Power and Light Company until moving to Lebanon, Missouri six months ago. Since arriving in Lebanon he had worked for the Copeland Corporation. He was an avid reader and enjoyed music of all kinds. He was very intelligent, possessed an analytical mind, and loved playing games. He also had a very outgoing and friendly personality. Nathan will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006, in the Hiattville Cemetery, Hiattville, Kansas. Burial will be in the Hiattville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorial contributions to the Shriner's Hospital for Children may be made through the funeral home.
