Theodore Wiggins (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Ted (Theodore) Wiggins, son of Allen & the late Bobbie (Juanita) Hundley-Wiggins, was born on November 4th, 1949 and was called home on February 6th, 2024. He was 74 years old.
Ted was proceeded in passing by his mother, one daughter, Kimberly Money and mother-in-law, Doris Kane. He is survived by his wife, Penny Wiggins; his father Allen & wife Jeannie Wiggins; three daughters, Jessica Wiggins, Amber Wiggins and Tammy Money (Alan Childs); eight grandchildren, Troy (Linda) Miesner, Desiree Campbell, Alexus White, Acacia Wiggins, Elijah Wiggins, Samuel Purdy, Nautika James, Seth Purdy; five great- grandchildren, Aylah Miesner, Aaria Craig, Lily Miesner, Lauryn Campbell, Bubs Miesner; and two siblings, A.J. & wife Carolyn Wiggins and Debbie & husband Eric Williams. He also leaves behind an extended family at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and many treasured friends such as Pastor Charlie Kempf & his lovely wife Rita as well as Dan Dietrich & wife Megan, who will all miss him dearly.
Ted was born in Long Beach and grew up in Buena Park, CA. Ted first excelled in football, making Pop Warner history when his team won the first annual Berry Bowl. After high school, Ted spent time in New Orleans working on the pipeline and later studied sales & marketing, becoming the Director of Marketing on projects such as Desert Falls Country Club in Palm Desert, CA. Ted discovered that his true calling was cooking, as a young man working in his grandparent’s dockside restaurant, The Pegasus, in Long Beach, CA. After other endeavors, Ted set his course toward becoming an award-winning executive chef and proprietor at the Lake of the Ozarks where he was best known as “Chef Ted”. Ted and wife Penny discovered the lake in 1991 and decided to call it home, after falling in love with its unique beauty, wildlife and slower pace of life. Ted raised a family, made a career and lived out his life here.
In closing, I would like to encourage anyone who loved Ted, not to shed a tear for him. Instead, touch a life for him, as God allowed him to touch yours.
