Theresa Maria Roper (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Theresa Maria Roper was born May 25, 1957 in Lebanon, Missouri to the late L.B. Batt and Thelma Meachum. She passed into her eternal home on Friday, October 13, 2023. At the time of her passing, she was sixty-six years, four months and nineteen days of age.
She was raised in Lebanon and was a graduate of Lebanon High School. She continued her education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. She returned to Missouri and was a office aide at Mark Twain Elementary School. Theresa also worked for MOCA for fourteen years and a daycare and preschool for four years. Following her career in education, she served several years at the Lebanon Housing Authority.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, David “Brownie” Charles Roper and Ronald “Bobby” Roper.
She is survived by her sons, LaDarrel Simon and his wife, Brittany of Lebanon, Missouri, Kristopher Farmer, Jordan Farmer and Tyler Farmer; her grandchildren, Braylon, Micaiah, O’Neal, Elijah, LaVay (Bitsy Boo), Janiaya Farmer, Kingston Farmer, Noah Farmer and River Farmer; her sister, Norma O’Neal of Las Vegas, Nevada; a nephew, Bruce O’Neal; and a niece, Damron Blackywell; and her amazing caregivers, Lynn Bonner, Breena Greek, Cora Terry, and Elizabeth Antoszewski.
She was active at Cross Creek Church and Life Point Church and she loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. Her family has the comfort of knowing she is in Heaven, fully healed and praising God.
Theresa loved going to antique stores and junking for treasures. She also enjoyed shopping and buying items from QVC Home Shopping Network. Theresa had a knack for throwing parties and family and friends enjoyed attending her events. Most of all, Theresa loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking her grandchildren camping. They had such an incredible time making memories and being together.
Theresa had a wonderful personality and was a fun and loving mother and grandmother. She will most certainly be missed by those who knew and loved her.
