Thomas Gerald Applegate (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Thomas Gerald Applegate was born April 17, 1935, and passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in Parkside Manor in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of eighty-seven years, five months, and eighteen days.
In April of 1958, he was united in marriage to Ruth Applegate, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth, in 1996; and a son, Jeffrey Applegate.
Thomas is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Applegate, of the State of Texas; his caregiver, Patricia Stover and her husband Rick of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He joined the military as a young man and served in the United States Air Force for twenty-four years. After retiring from the military, he eventually moved to Lebanon, Missouri to enjoy his retirement years. He had owned and operated a cleaning business for some time.
He enjoyed doing woodworking projects. He loved his family dearly, as well his Pomeranian “Buddy” and liked visiting with his friends.
Thomas will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service for Thomas Applegate will be held Thursday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
