Thomas Edward Dyal (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Thomas Edward Dyal, son of James Thomas and Thelma Irene Veidier Dyal, was born October 9, 1934, in Success, Arkansas. He departed this life Wednesday, January 25, 2017, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years, three months, and sixteen days.
On February 24, 1956, in Monroe Center, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Elaine Fell and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lora Elaine Dyal; a granddaughter, Kala Dyal; and two brothers, Joe and Gene Dyal.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Elaine, of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth Druien, and her husband, Charles, of Stillman Valley, Illinois; two sons, Tim Dyal, and his wife, Vickie, of Stillman Valley, Illinois, and Russell Dyal, of Falcon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Joshua and Maggie Jo Dyal; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Success, Arkansas, and then moved to Rockford, Illinois where he went to work at a furniture factory. After he and Elaine were married, they made their home near Rockford, Illinois and lovingly raised their family. Tom worked for the J. L. Clark Corporation for a time, and then was employed as a hammer man for the Rockford Drop Forge Corporation for almost forty-three years. Once he and Elaine retired, they moved to a farm near Lebanon, Missouri. Tom always liked to have a farm and raising horses and a few other animals.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing in his own ponds, riding horses, doing woodworking projects, carpentry and caring for his animals. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his two grandchildren.
Thomas was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his eighty-two years.
