Thomas Lansdown (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Thomas Lee “Tommy” Lansdown, son of Homer and Ruby Seal Lansdown, was born September 13, 1947 in Mansfield, Missouri and departed this life on December 17, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years, three months and fourteen days.
On November 9, 1969 he was united in marriage to April Thomas and to this union two children were born.
He was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter, Mikaela Dawn Lansdown. Tommy is survived by his wife of forty-five years, April of the home; son, Eric Lansdown and wife Tracy of Rogersville, Missouri; daughter, Angela Lerma and husband Sean of Ocala, Florida; four grandchildren, Quinton Lansdown, Weston Lansdown, Kylie Lansdown and Alexis Lerma; his mother, Ruby Lansdown of Rogersville, Missouri; seven brothers, Neal Lansdown of Rockport, Missouri, Virgil and Larry Lansdown both of Mansfield, Missouri, Vernon Lansdown of Ozark, Missouri, Danny Lansdown of Bucyrus, Missouri, Kenny and Jimmy Lansdown both of Seymour, Missouri; three sisters, Carolyn Johnson of Bolivar, Missouri, Norma Smalley of Springfield, Missouri and Kathy Myers of Lebanon, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. He was born and raised in Mansfield and attended Mansfield Schools. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army and after returning home he lived and worked at Sears in Springfield. After he and April were married they moved back to Mansfield where he worked for Webster Hydro Propane Company, drove a bus for Mansfield Schools, owned and operated Tommy’s Gas Station in Mansfield, was an auto body repairman and drove a tractor-trailer for many years for O’Reilly Auto Parts. He and April moved to Rogersville in the early 90’s and remained there until his passing. Tommy had made a profession of faith in Christ many years ago and was a member of the Faith Life Church in Branson. Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will cherish the good memories that we had with him.
