Thomas Allen Van Holt (Humansville)'s Obituary
Thomas "Tom" Van Holt, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, of Humansville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026. He was born on April 13, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ed Van Holt and Lorraine Dahms. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969. After his service, he built a career working for various cable and telephone companies. He was a hardworking and dedicated man who took pride in everything he did. Tom was a man who found deep joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved hunting and fishing and had a special fondness for working on lawn mowers. Perhaps most dear to his heart was the time he spent mowing the yard of his church, a labor of love that reflected his quiet devotion and generous spirit. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Van Holt and Lorraine Dahms; his brother, Robert Van Holt; his sister, Karyn Blyidzius; and his beloved son, Tom Van Holt Jr. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ann, of the home; his son, Terry (Amanda) Van Holt of Humansville; his daughter, Amy (Lonnie) Truelove of Hartford, Michigan; his sister, Sandra (Robert) Wojciehowski of Paw Paw, Michigan; Josie Anholt of Illinois; Martin Van Holt of South Haven, Michigan; and Sandy Harrington of Bay City, Michigan. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Sue Van Holt; his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews who will forever hold him in their hearts.
