Tom was my uncle, I however as a child considered him my friend. He brought a whole new depth to the idea of play. He made a square of dirt into a corn field with real corn. He used toe knockers as logs which he hauled on a toy truck. He built roads and swept paths so that stones wouldn’t hurt our feet. Such fun. I loved him. Going to Grannies was not the same should he and John not be there. He is and will be missed.
