Tim Mason's Obituary
Tim Mason, son of John and Ella Bateman Mason, was born July 20, 1958, in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, February 9, 2010, in Lake Regional Hospital, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of fifty-one years, six months, and nineteen days. On September 17, 2002, he was united in marriage to Joan Berniece Welch Faulkner, and they shared the last seven years. His parents preceded him in death. Tim is survived by his wife, Joan, of the home; a son, J. T. Mason, of Camdenton, Missouri; two brothers, Don Mason, of Eldon, Missouri, and Tom Mason, of Springfield, Missouri; four sisters, Carol Bell, and her husband, Norman, of the State of Texas, Sherry Butcher, and her husband, Dennis, of the State of California, Melody Bubniak, and her husband, Greg, of the State of Oklahoma, and Marilyn Seams, of the State of Michigan; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, and spent time on the family farm in the Grovespring area. He lived most of his adult years in the Grovespring area, but did live in Texas and in Springfield for a few years. While living in Grovespring, he met Joan and they were soon married. Throughout the years, Tim worked in construction in Springfield and in Texas. He and Joan had recently moved to Camdenton and made their home. Tim made his profession of faith and was saved in 1992, at the Dallas/Fort Worth Church of Christ. He greatly enjoyed being outdoors and had a true passion for fishing. He also liked working around the farm and doing handyman jobs. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor, was a devoted family man, and a good provider. Tim was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday February 13, 2010 at the Zion Cuba Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Cuba Cemetery. Visitation is Friday evening 6-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
