Timothy C. Bushong (Seymour)'s Obituary
Timothy Clay Bushong was born April 10, 1964, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, to Willard C. ‘Buck’ and Delta A. (Buchanan) Bushong. With loved ones at his side, Tim was greeted into Heaven the evening of Tuesday, October 11, 2016. He was raised in Seymour and attended Seymour schools. After high school, he began working at Hutchens Steel Plant, and then for Webster County doing excavation work. Tim’s years of hard work and guidance working with Jim Cravens prepared him to later own and operate his own excavating company.
On May 25, 1985, Tim married the love of his life, Deirdre Diane Schuder, and to this union two sons, Devin Clay and Denton Larry, were born. Together they have shared over thirty-one blessed years.
Tim never met a stranger and loved to chat with anyone. He was known to always have a smile on his face. He was funny, good-humored and liked to laugh, just like his Dad. He enjoyed being silly with his nieces and nephews. Most free time was spent hunting and fishing with his sons. Tim was a Christian man; he was baptized December 10, 1995, by Reverend Gary Burr. Tim and Deirdre attended Diggins Baptist Church where he’d been a member for over 20 years. He also served as a trustee for a time.
Tim was preceded in death by his father.
Tim leaves behind his ever-loving wife, Deirdre, of the home; his two best friends, sons and daughters-in-law, Devin and Emily Bushong, and Denton and Kaity Bushong, all of Diggins, Missouri; his mother, Delta Stafford and husband, Don, of Rogersville, Missouri; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Kim Turley of Springfield, Missouri, and Pam and Jack Cole of Rogersville; a brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Kathy Bushong of Chadwick, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Gedenna and Randy Thurman of Diggins; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Shirley Schuder, of Diggins; his dear nieces and nephews, Derek Turley, Kory Stucki, Bryson Pittman, Breanne Ipock, Brooke Farnsworth, Brooke Stanley, Bailey Tennis, Mikayla Bushong, Jared Clark, Justin Clark and Amber Jessen; and many more extended family, friends, neighbors and church family.
Tim Bushong was many things to many people. He lived a life that set an example for his family. He was a devoted family man, a faithful husband, a loving father and father-in-law, a caring son, a loyal brother, a fun-loving uncle, a best friend, a trusted neighbor. Tim was a hard-working man and loved excavation, but he did more than just go to work each day. He used each and every day as an opportunity to witness to those he encountered. Tim’s love of the Lord was apparent on his face and poured from his heart. His humble heart probably never knew the countless lives he touched and the impact he had on others. The many wonderful memories made with family and friends will be treasured in hearts forever. Tim will be so deeply missed by all of those blessed enough to know and love him. Heaven has gained a special man.
Memorial donations to Diggins Baptist Church may be made through the funeral home.
