Tom Smith (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Tom Smith was born on August 4, 1927 and he departed this life on December 4, 2025, at Colonial Springs Nursing Home, Buffalo, MO. At the time of his passing, he was 92 years and 4 months of age. Tom was born in Lead Mine, MO, to Clarence Smith and Jessie (Rambo) Smith. He attended Hickory Hill School, Lead Mine School and graduated from Tunas High School. He was a Veteran of World War II. He worked for Kraft Foods in Springfield, MO, for over 33 years. He retired in 1988, settling in Lead Mine. He enjoyed feeding the fish in his pond and also working in his yard. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Church. Tom was united in marriage to Doris Belle Hatcher on February 11, 1950, at the home of Rev. Leonard Miller, north of Buffalo. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; parents, Clarence and Jessie; four sisters, Beva, Sophia, Suda and Ida; and four brothers, Buel, Bertrum, Claun, and Don. He is survived by his sister-in-law Mollie Smith, numerous nieces and nephews and was blessed by his many friends in the Lead Mine Community. He will truly be missed. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jennifer Long officiating.
