On May 28, 1993, he was united in marriage to Joyce Wanetta Long, and they shared the last twenty-six years.
His mother preceded him in death.
Tomas is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, of the home; a stepson, Tim Hautzenrader, of Davenport, Iowa; five granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; his father, Tomas Rodriguez, of Davenport, Iowa; a brother, John Rodriguez, of Green Rock, Illinois; two sisters, Lisa Rodriguez, of Davenport, Iowa and Kala Holland, of Davenport, Iowa; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa and graduated from Central High School, where he played on the football team. He then worked as a machinist for the B Line Corporation for several years. After he and Joyce were married, they soon moved to Lebanon, Missouri, where Tomas worked for Marine Electric and then Copeland Corporation, which is now Emerson Electric. They moved to Fulton, Missouri, so Tomas could work for the State of Missouri Department of Corrections for eight years. They returned to Lebanon and made their home for the last several years.
Tomas followed the Catholic faith throughout the years.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting, fishing, camping, and canoeing. He also liked playing darts and pool. He greatly enjoyed partying for as long as his health allowed.
Tomas was a loving husband, stepfather, step-grandfather, step-great-grandfather, son, brother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
