Tomiko Sergi (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Tomiko F. Sergi, daughter of Rynso and Roku Fukada, was born April 13, 1931, in Kanuma City, Japan. She departed this life Sunday, September 29, 2019, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-eight years, five months, and sixteen days.
On November 24, 1954, she was united in marriage to Frank Anthony Sergi, and they shared fifty-seven years before Frank’s passing on August 11, 2012.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and five sisters.
Tomiko is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, including Ri-ja Proctor, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Japan and after graduating from high school, she attended nursing school. She became a Registered Nurse and worked in a hospital in Yokohama, Japan for a time. She met Frank while he was serving in the military and she was working at the hospital, and they moved to the United States in 1955-1956. Eventually, they made their home in Lebanon, Missouri.
In her spare time she liked to sew and do cross stitch projects. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and liked fishing with Frank and going to casinos. She greatly loved having time with family and friends.
Tomiko will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.
Private services will be under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
