Tommie "Flipper" Richard Mosier (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Tommie "Flipper" Richard Mosier, son of Troy and Roma Waterman Mosier, was born February 3, 1946, in Eldridge, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, September 22, 2019, in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, seven months, and nineteen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bonnie Gene; a brother, Billy Gene Mosier; and a sister, Janice Ginnings.
"Flipper", as he was called by his family and friends, is survived by four daughters, Sheila Unger, and her husband, Ronnie, of Lebanon, Missouri, Becky Stokes, of Cannon City, Colorado, Amy and Melissa, both of the State of Colorado; a son, Richard, of the State of Missouri; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Janie Weber, of Cuba, Missouri; a special cousin, Kenny Moore, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Eldridge community. He then worked in the automobile business as a hauler and in maintenance repair.
Tommie professed his faith in Christ several years ago and had attended Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon, Missouri.
He greatly enjoyed attending car races and had been a driver at one time. He was very well known at the race tracks as "Flipper". He was a fan of the Denver Broncos and liked watching football.
Tommie was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
Services and Burial in Hufft Cemetery, near Eldridge, Missouri, will be under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Full Gospel Church in Eldridge, Missouri.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
