Tommy Chastain (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Tommy Wayne Chastain was born April 16, 1952 in Bennett Spring, Missouri to Claude and Mary Dibben Chastain. He departed this life Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri. He was seventy-two years, six months and twenty-seven days of age.
Tommy grew up in Laclede County and tried his expertise in a few different career opportunities. He was employed at Sign Fab for a time and also was a Big Green Egg salesman. He owned and operated Tom’s Supermarket in Sedalia, Missouri for a few years. But perhaps his favorite occupation was lawn care. He had the lawn care business for many years and enjoyed being outside. He was known for being an amazing salesman.
On March 25, 2005, Tommy was united in marriage to Shirley June Chastain. Shortly after they were married, they moved to Lebanon.
Tommy is preceded in death by his loving wife of fifteen years, Shirley; his parents; his grandson, Dante’ Nichols; two brothers, Paul and Ricky; and a sister, Sherry.
Tommy is survived by his four daughters, Belinda Nichols and her husband Otis, Chaundra Shults and her husband Rick, Tamara Parker and her husband Jimmy and Michelle Phillips and her husband Jody; his son, Kevin Chastain; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Chastain and his wife Delores and Jerry Chastain and his wife Nancy; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Tommy was saved early in life and followed the Baptist faith. After he and Shirley moved to Lebanon, they attended Grace Calvary Full Gospel Church.
He enjoyed fishing and liked to tinker on things. He and Shirley loved to travel. Tommy also like watching the Kansas City Chiefs and had an impressive collection of Hot Wheel cars.
Most of all, Tommy loved his family and looked forward to family reunions. His memory will be treasured forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched.
Funeral service for Tommy Chastain will be Friday, November 15, 2024 at 10 a.m.at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park in Lebanon.
A memorial has been established to Flatwoods Cemetery and donations may be left at the funeral home.
