Tommy Jennings' Obituary
Tommy Wayne Jennings, son of Thomas H. and Delores Ann Hicks Jennings, was born July 21, 1964, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of forty-five years, eight months, and sixteen days. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Thomas Jennings. Tommy is survived by his parents, Thomas and Delores Jennings, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Tony Jennings, and his wife, Leslie, and Timothy Jennings, and his wife, Deanna, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a niece, Abbey Jennings; a nephew, Aaron Jennings; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Laclede County, and lived all of his life in the Lebanon area. He attended Lebanon R-III Schools and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1982. He worked throughout his life as a cattle farmer, and also worked for the Bass Tracker Company for fifteen years. He then was employed by the Durham Company for a short time. Tommy was saved on May 24, 1981, and was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church in Eldridge. He enjoyed attending services and appreciated the fellowship the church offered. In his spare time he liked working in his garden, raising flowers, and planting trees. He possessed a vast knowledge of various subjects and enjoyed reading and studying history. He also enjoyed working with and raising horses along side his father. He was a very friendly gentleman who never made an enemy and was always willing to help others. Tommy was a loving son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday April 10, 2010 at the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon. Burial will be in the Hufft Cemetery. Visitation is Friday evening 7-8:30 p.m. under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the Hufft Cemetery care fund.
