Tommy Wayne Scott, son of Marlene Kay Henderson Woodman, was born July 30, 1968 in Kansas City, Kansas and departed this life of May 19, 2015 in Mansfield, Ohio at the age of forty-six years, nine months, and nineteen days.
He was preceded in death by his Granny Ann Martin; grandfather, Forrest Henderson; uncles, Kenneth Henderson and Dennis Hurst; cousins, Bub Moody and Lisa Hurst.
Tommy is survived by his mother and dad, Marty and Don Woodman of Springfield, Missouri; brother, Chris Brown and wife, Rhonda of Hulbert, Oklahoma; sister, Angela Brown of Springfield, Missouri; brother, Erik Woodman of Champaigne, Illinois; sister, Glenda Stausky and husband, Mark of Indianapolis, Indiana; aunts, Mary Lloyd of Texarkana, Texas, Melba Coday of Nixa, Missouri, Wilda Taylor and husband, Ken of Springfield, Missouri, Kathy Thomas and husband, Lowell of Nixa, Missouri, nieces and nephews, Brandon Brown of Springfield, Missouri, Josh and Ambrea Brown Tripp and children Brinkley and Jessalyn of Licking, Missouri, Ashlann, Logan and Lily Brown of Hulbert, Oklahoma; cousins, Alan Brown, Valerie Brown, John and Carmen Seay, Lagena and Mike Scott, Kim and Randy Mattison, Greg and Millie Clark, Melissa Lucas, Robin Clark, Paul and Tina Clark, Kenneth Henderson II, Jennifer Henderson, Kendra Bond, Alisha Thomas, Carla Hayes and Amber Harness.
Tommy served his country faithfully in the United States Navy from 1989 until 1993 where he served on the U.S.S. Cape Cod. He was deployed to Operation Desert Storm from 1992 and 1993. After the Navy, he worked as a communication tower builder alongside his brother, Chris Brown. He traveled up north working as an iron worker and for the last 10 or 12 years making Hastings, Michigan his home.
Tommy was a Master Mason and member of the Gate of the Temple Masonic Lodge #499 and a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Temple, both in Springfield, Missouri.
Tommy loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved his mommy and the rest of his family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
