Tony Lane Caudle (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Tony Lane Caudle was born March 20, 1958, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, March 4, 2020, surrounded by his loving family, in North Care Hospice House, in North Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, eleven months, and fifteen days.
On May 20, 2016, he was united in marriage to Shirley Gauvin, and they shared the last twenty-one years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Darlene Caudle Lindsay; a brother, Edward Mask; and a sister, Nicole Caudle.
Tony is survived by his wife, Shirley, of the home; three daughters, Brandi Smith, and her husband, Jeremy, of Crestview, Florida, Kelly Focht, and her husband, Jonathan, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Cheyenne Caudle, of Kansas City, Missouri; a son, Jarrod Caudle, of Liberty, Missouri; four grandchildren, Seth, Kiley, Noah, and Hailey, and one anticipated grandchild that will be his namesake; a brother, Randy Lindsay, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Terry Chandler, and her husband, Rob, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Connie Alam-Shoushtari, and her husband, Clifford, and Christie Jones, and her husband, Jerry, all of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Stoutland community and graduated from Stoutland High School. He served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 until 1983, and was stationed in the Philippines during part of that time. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal, and then made his home in the Kansas City, Missouri area, where he worked for Dobbs Catering for a few years. He then began working as a Missouri State Highway Patrol State Inspector for sixteen years, retiring in 2016.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing and hunting. He had a delightful sense of humor and told lots of “dad jokes”. He was very patriotic and was proud of his military service. He had a very concerned heart and was always willing to help others. His family was always the center of his life and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Tony was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 7 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.
Burial will be in Mount Rose Veterans' Park.
