Tony Gene Williams (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Tony Gene Williams, son of Burvel Gene and LeEtta Jolene Ruble Williams, was born October 13, 1961, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, June 9, 2011, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of forty-nine years, seven months, and twenty-six days.
On August 5, 1982, he was united in marriage to Janet Sue Joy, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
Tony is survived by his wife, Janet, of the home; a son, Kris Williams, and his wife, Jessie, of Rolla, Missouri; a daughter, Krysta Williams, of Lebanon, Missouri; a granddaughter, Kali Williams, of Lebanon, Missouri; his parents, Burvel and LeEtta Williams, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; two brothers, B.J. Williams, and his wife, Christy, and Joe Williams, and his wife, Becky, all of Phillipsburg, Missouri; a sister, Tina Ward, and her husband, Dwayne, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Missouri, raised in Garrison, Iowa, and then returned to Lebanon, in 1977. After he and Janet were married, they made their home in Lebanon, and lovingly raised their family. In 1980, Tony began a career with Tracker Marine and was currently production manager for the Lebanon plant.
Tony had professed his faith in Christ, and was an active member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to play music and was a member of the church band. His faith was central in his life and he had served as a Wednesday night director and Sunday school teacher.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where he liked fishing with his granddaughter and boating. He greatly enjoyed restoring his 1968 Z28 Chevrolet Camero. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and was always the life of the party.
Tony was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
