Tonya Annette Smith (Bolivar)'s Obituary
It was a beautiful day on Sept. 18th, 1976, when Tonya (Kessler) Smith was born to Russell and Sue
(Shipman) Kessler. She had 4 older brothers, Troy, Terry, Toby and Teddy as well as a sister-in-law Teresa. Tonya made their home complete.
She attended Pleasant Hope School. She had one job throughout her life delivering newspapers, and helping her dad. With her work, she made many life-long friends and met Andy Smith (Fred Andrew Smith) who later would be her Husband. She liked to make gift baskets, write poetry, collect recipes, go to the casinos and gardening. She left this life at Citizens Memorial Hospital on Thursday, Oct. 17th, 2024, due to Lung cancer. She is preceded in death by her brothers Troy and Toby.
She is survived by Andy, her husband 2 sons, Colten and Gavin and 1 daughter Harper all of the home: parents, Russell and Sue Kessler, brothers Terry and Teddy, all of Brighton as well as aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Also, a very special aunt, Rose Ashley of Pleasant Hope. as well as many friends that she has made throughout her life.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Brighton Cemetery.
