Tonya Williams' Obituary
TONYA LYNNE WILLIAMS
Tonya Lynne Williams, daughter of Kermit Alford ?Buster? and Ina Pauline Wilson Pruitt, was born August 19, 1974, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, May 25, 2010, in St. John?s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of thirty-five years, nine months, and six days.
She was preceded in death by her father; her maternal grandparents, Claude and Lorene Wilson; and her paternal grandparents, Bill and Ferba Arthur.
Tonya is survived by a son, Dakota ?Cody? Williams, of the home; her mother, Pauline Pruitt, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Travis Pruitt, and his wife, Stacie, of Lebanon, Missouri; a niece, Elizabeth Pruitt; a nephew, Timothy Pruitt; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1992. She was the manager of the Dollar General Store in Lebanon for a few years, and had also worked at several convenience stores in the area.
Tonya made her profession of faith and was baptized at an early age and followed the Baptist faith.
Her life revolved around her son and she was a devoted and loving mother and homemaker. She loved going fishing with her son and also camping. She liked going to his baseball and football games and watching him race his go-cart that his Uncle Travis bought for him. She enjoyed making tie-dyed items, going to concerts and spending time with her family and friends. She was always there for her friends and others in need.
Tonya was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
