Trevie Jean Davis (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Trevie Jean Davis, 86, of Stockton, Missouri, went peacefully to be with her savior April 12, 2012 at the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar.
The daughter of Wilber Clyde and Florence Elizabeth Dryer, she was born January 2, 1926 north of Bolivar near Mt. Olive in Polk County. On January 17, 1946, Trevie was united in marriage to Lowell Davis. To this union were born five children; John, James, Esther, Ruth, and Lois.
Trevie lived a life of love. She was special in many ways. She was a loving mother and friend not only to her family but anyone that knew her. She loved nature, gardening, sewing, cooking, and working on her farm. She was very talented in sewing and cooking. Everyone cherished the gifts she generously gave.
She had a testimony of salvation by kneeling between the church pews in the back of the church and seeking God. She was a faithful lifelong member at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Raymond and David, sister; Lilly, and daughter-in-law; Phyllis.
Survivors include her children John Davis and his children, son Brad and daughter Amanda, and great-granddaughter Sydney; James Davis and his wife, Kathy, and their daughters Sarah and Audrey; Esther Davis and her son Quinn, and great-granddaughter Beatrize; Ruth and her husband, Gary Selby, and their daughters Tara and Tiffany; and Lois Davis. Survivors also include brothers Kenneth Dryer, Chester Dryer, Vernon Dryer; sisters Thelma Pierce and Mary Lemke; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Trevie was cherished by everyone around her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
