Troy Hannah's Obituary
Troy Lester Hannah, son of Andrew Joshua and Mary Jane Della (Matney) Hannah, was born July 2, 1914, in Ozark County, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, October 4, 2006, in his home, in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of ninety-two years, three months, and two days. On January 4, 1953 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Louise Turner and to this union three daughters and two sons were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, his infant twin, and Ada Bruce; and two brothers, Ival and Orville Hannah. Troy is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of the home; three daughters, Karen Buttram, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Tami Minear, and her husband, Wes, and Toni Peterka, and her husband, David, all of Seymour, Missouri; two sons, Steve Hannah, and his wife, Donna, of Seymour, Missouri, and Johnny Hannah, and his wife, Ruth, of Hartville, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Terry Moore, Sandra Crain, Melissa Clift, Chad Moore, Shadeana Moore, Shaun Peterka, Michael Hannah, Nathan Minear, Davis and Andrew Peterka; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Beulah Dennis, of Mansfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives, church family and friends. He was born and raised in Ozark County and moved with his family to California for a short time. After he and Marilyn were married they made their home in Seymour, where he worked for the MFA Exchange for thirty years. Troy had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Seymour First Baptist Church. He centered his life around his family and loved spending time with them. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, and watching westerns and game shows on television. Troy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Star Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
