Twila Fern Burrell (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Twila Fern (Durnell) Burrell, 85 of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar. Twila was born May 25, 1940, the only child of Wordie and Roxie Fay (Bishop) Durnell. Twila was raised in Weaubleau, Missouri and graduated from Weaubleau High School in May 1958. She married the love of her life, Jack Rodger Burrell, on April 8, 1961. They shared 58 years of marriage before Jack’s passing. Together Jack and Twila made their home in Humansville, Missouri, where Twila worked for the Hermitage Index, Montgomery Ward and the Humansville Star Leader. She professed her faith in Christ in 1965 and was a member of the Humansville Christian Church. Twila enjoyed cooking (known for her delicious hot rolls), gardening, going to garage sales and swap meets. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her son Jack H. and wife Pam of Springfield, MO; grandson Wesley and wife Whitney and great-grandson Hudson of Willard, Missouri. The family wishes to thank the caregivers of Parkview Healthcare for their kindness and care for the past 6 years.
