Valeria Magdelen Schulz (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Valeria Magdelen Schulz, daughter of Frank and Myrtle Chatham Kachelmeyer, was born March 13, 1925, in Cook County, Illinois. She departed this life Monday, May 25, 2020, in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-five years, two months, and twelve days.
On September 27, 1947, she was united in marriage to Raymond C. Schulz, and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond, on December 1, 1992; a daughter, Joanne L. Bingham; a son, Raymond M. Schulz; and two brothers, Francis Chatham, and William Huck.
Valeria is survived by a daughter Susan R. Buckley, and her husband, Sam, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Karl Schulz, of Brookings, Oregon; a son-in-law, Jim Bingham, and his wife, Marcella, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Krystal Neufeld, and her husband, Ben, of Lebanon, Missouri, Stacy Bingham, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Tiffany Norred, and her husband, James, of Grand Prairie, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Logan, Katie, Kimber, Bailey, Carter, Josh, Emma, Jade, and Lily; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Chicago, Illinois area, and then lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a number of years. She and Raymond had also lived in California, Wisconsin and Oregon through the years, and Valeria worked as a lead inspector in an electronics plant in California. Throughout her life, she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. In 2014, she moved to Lebanon, Missouri to be near her daughter.
Valeria had followed the Catholic faith her entire life.
In her spare time she enjoyed watching television where her favorite programs were football games and westerns. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Valeria was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her long life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories she created for them during her ninety-five years.
All arrangements will be private.
A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer's Association and may be left at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.
