Vaughn F Lewis (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Vaughn F "Gramps" Lewis, son of Frank Mulford and Daisy Ann Moulder Lewis, was born, August 19, 1918 in Old Linn Creek, Missouri. He departed this life, November 3, 2017, in Laurie Care Center, Laurie, Missouri at the age of ninety years, two months and fifteen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Florence, his son Robert Mc Cain, great grandson, Cliff Bruck, his brothers, Earl, Bill, Kermit, and Don, his sisters, Bessy Mae and Evelyn, daughter-in-law, Helen.
He is survived by his five grandchildren, Vaughn and Sandy Mc Cain, Debbie Mc Cain, Robert and Peg Mc Cain, Patrick Mc Cain and Cindy Mc Cain; great grandchildren, Ryan Mc Cain, Kate and Mike Robinson, Nick and Amy Bruck, Jacob and Sara Mc Cain, Nalani Mc Cain, Logan and Haley Hopwood; great great grandchildren, Mia, Mike and Maverick Robinson, Isabelle and Bryce Bruck, Oliver and Parker Mc Cain, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
During WWII Vaughn, was a gunner in a B 24 bomber. After the war he went to work at Laclede Gas in St. Louis. He loved Cardinal baseball and crappie fishing over the old town of Linn Creek. He will be loved and missed.
He was a loving son, husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, and great great grandpa and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 11th at Old St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Laurie, Missouri
Burial will be in Old St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Laurie, Mo.
