Venita Faye Austin (Hartville)'s Obituary
Venita Faye Austin, daughter of Ralph and Opal Estell Jones, was born October 31, 1935. She was called home Thursday evening, September 27, 2018 at the Hartville Care Center, at the age of eighty-two years, ten months, and twenty-eight days.
On October, 31 1951 she was united in marriage to William “Shorty” Austin and to this union one child was born.
Venita is preceded in death by her loving husband, Shorty Austin; her parents, Ralph and Estell Jones; her son, Gary; and her three brothers, Bill, Lester, and Delmar Jones.
She is survived by her two sisters-in-law, Nava Austin of Hartville, Missouri and Wilma Jones, of Lebanon, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, and caring friends.
Venita was born and raised in Laclede County and attended Smittle Elementary School. She married William “Shorty” Austin on her birthday in 1951 and the couple were together until his passing in January of 2000. She was baptized at an early age and attended Coon Creek Baptist Church as often as she could.
Venita loved to sight see and would sometimes go with Shorty to the different churches all throughout Missouri just to see the area. She also loved to go out to eat as often as she could. She was a caring person and loved her family very much. Venita was a loving wife, mother, sister-in-law, aunt, and caring friend. We celebrate her wonderful life and will always cherish the many happy memories she created.
