Vera Dickerson (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Vera Marie Dickerson, 88, passed away on May 28, 2023, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by family. Vera was born in Morrisville, Missouri on July 21, 1934 to Loyal and Pearl Cossins. She graduated from Marion C. Early High School.
She married Curtis Eugene Dickerson on March 28, 1954. They shared 37 years of marriage with six children before his passing in 1991. Her whole life, love and passion was her Jesus, the Bible, Prayer, her husband, her family, and friends.
She so thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, flowers, quilting, painting, drawing, crocheting, card sending and being with family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Curt, a son, Jerry, a daughter-in-law, Marianne and two granddaughters, Crystal and Ashli.
Vera is survived by children: Homer and Nancy, John and Sheila, Daniel, Annie and Dwight, Judy and Mark. Grand children: Teresa and Rick, Ben and Annie, Abe and Kelli, Eli and Jeremy, Brandy, Danielle and Patrick, Charles and Renee, Isaac, Curtis and Rose, Jonathan and Rachel, and Dustin.
Great-grand children: Julia and Arik, Kirsten, Andrew, Curtis, Isaac, Jeremiah, Phoenix, Aurora, Levi, Ethan, Kaden, Ashley, Kolby, Curtis Lee, Elijah, Emmett, Kendalyn, Landis, Malcolm and Natania. And one great-great-grand daughter, Ember. As well as many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a funeral service starting at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Aldrich, Missouri.
