Vera Lee Wrinkle (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Vera Lee Wrinkle was born May 19, 1947. She departed this life peacefully in her sleep Friday, November 18, 2022, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the
age of seventy-five years, five months, and nineteen days.
On December 24, 1983, she was united in marriage to Richard E. Wrinkle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her children, Christopher and Jennifer.
Vera is survived by her husband, Richard, of the home; two daughters, Lisa Williams, of Nixa, Missouri, and Holly Beal, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a grandson, Gabriel Smith, of the home; seven other grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Regina Foxx, of Dallas, Texas; special friends, Paula Deselms, Alice Ledbetter, Judy Hueppelsheuser, and Judy Benage; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in a military family and lived in various places including Germany and Kansas while she was growing up. After graduating from high school, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University in Springfield. Through the years, she worked for the Missouri State Department of Family Services in Buffalo and Waynesville. She later worked for the Missouri Division of Aging for as long as her health permitted.
She was very interested in the extra-terrestrial and especially aliens. She was always supportive of her husband’s work in law enforcement. She centered her life around her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Vera was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and was a caring friend. She was a retired social worker and was known for her caring heart, her ability to put people at ease, and the impact she made on the lives of both the children and adults with whom she came in contact. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Lebanon Cemetery and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
