Verda Oneta Carns (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Verda Oneta Walker-Carns, age 86, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was born on April 25, 1924 in Bolivar, Missouri the daughter of Charles Aaron Fulbright and Bessie Jane (Davison) Fulbright.
On September 22, 1956 Verda married John C. Walker in Goodson, Missouri and to this union one son, Charles Walker was born. John passed away on September 25, 1985. Verda later married Robert Carns on January 30, 1999. Robert passed away on August 11, 2001.
Verda was a Cook for the Bolivar School System for 19 years prior to her retirement in 1989. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church after being saved at a young age.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her two husbands, brothers, Weldon, Lendel and Donald Fulbright, sisters, Jewell Morris and Vera Ashlock.
Verda is survived by her by her son, Charles Walker and his wife Debbie of Bolivar, two grandsons, Gregory and Kyle Walker both of Bolivar, three step-daughters, Roberta McReynolds and her husband Frank of Joplin, Missouri, Rebecca Swinney and her husband Frank of Halfway, Missouri, Regina Reynolds of Bolivar, several Inlaws, nieces, nephews and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
