Verna Faye Jarman (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Verna Faye Jarman, 75, of Flemington, Missouri, passed away and met the Lord Jesus on January 14, 2023, following a long battle with cancer.
She was born September 4, 1947 to Raymond and Lorene Pember. She spent her early years on the family farm in Ness County, Kansas. She graduated from Ness City High School in 1965. She then attended Fort Hays State University. After completing her studies at Fort Hays State University she moved to Wichita, Kansas where she worked in the aircraft industry. There she met Dwain Hale and to this union they had a son. They later divorced and she moved to Flemington, Missouri where she resided until her death.
She married Mike Jarman on November 8, 2001. She worked for Hegle's Woodworks in Bolivar Missouri until the business was closed and then she worked along side Mike on the farm caring for the cattle, cutting and hauling hay, and everything involved with farming. She loved her cats, dogs and hummingbirds. She was truly a farm girl at heart.
Verna was truly devoted to the Lord and practiced her religion every day. She had many church friends who were life-long friends. The coffee pot was always on in her kitchen and she always had time to sit down and visit. It was her joy to take care of people and make them happy.
Verna is survived by her husband of the home, and her son Bruce Hale of Carthage, Missouri; her grandchildren, Micaiah Hale, Malachi Hale and Brook Hale of Carthage, Missouri, Britain and Magen Hale of Joplin, MO. Dakota and Emily Hale of Kansas City; a niece, Shonna Barton and husband Daniel and nephew, Gary Mattox; her great grandchildren belonging to Brit and Magen, Addi, Conner and Raylan Balmas, Harrison and Declan Hale; a sister, Carol and Eric Harfmann of Hays, Kansas; a brother, Dennis and Kim Pember of Emporia, Kansas; sister-in-law Sharon Pember of Winfield, Kansas; nephews, Brandon Harfmann, Dustin Harfmann, Dale Pember, Keith Pember, Paul Pember; nieces, Dora Pember and Wendy Montieth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lorene Pember and brothers, Duane Pember and Kevin Pember.
Funeral Services for Verna will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, January 18, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
