Vesta Dunkel (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mrs. Vesta Pearl Dunkel, age 91 of Plato, Missouri passed away on Thursday evening, January 10, 2013 at her home.
She was born February 28, 1921 in Bolivar, Missouri the daughter of Roy Blackwell and Nannie Florence (Farris) Blackwell.
Vesta was a school teacher and a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the Mount Gilead United Methodist Church and a member of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association.
Vesta was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dunkel, her parents, Roy and Nannie Blackwell, two son-in-laws, Floyd Hammock and James Wilhite, three grandchildren, Baby Hammock, Sherri Fink, and Eddie Hammock.
Vesta is survived by a son, James Leroy Dunkel and his wife Shirrie of Plato, Missouri, two daughters, Hazel Hammock and her companion Dallas Hicks of Ash Grove, Missouri, Karen Wilhite of Springfield, Missouri, a brother, Glenn Blackwell and his wife Barbara of Bolivar, Missouri, 7 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
