On February 6, 1976, she was united in marriage to William R. Dorlac, and they shared the last forty years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Debbie Carr.
“Vickie”, as she was called by her family and friends, is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; a daughter, Angela Bunnell, and her husband, Casey, of Richland, Missouri; two sons, Steven Binns, of Richland, Missouri, and William Dorlac, and his wife, Heather, of Springfield, Missouri; five grandchildren, James, William, Luke, Kaeli, and Billy; a brother, Larry Carr, of Houston, Texas; a sister, Vivian Ballew, of Kearney, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Raytown, Missouri area and graduated from Raytown South High School in the Class of 1966. She continued to make her home in the Kansas City area and worked as a cocktail waitress for a few years. After she and Bill were married, Vickie became a supportive military wife and a devoted homemaker to her family. The family was stationed in Germany for several years, and their last child was born while they were living there. Once her husband retired, the family moved to Richland, Missouri, to enjoy their retirement years.
Vickie professed her faith in Christ and was baptized at the age of nine, and followed the Baptist faith throughout her life.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, doing counted cross stitch projects, and riding motorcycles. She was a fan of NASCAR, the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. She was always steadfast in her convictions and was willing to help others. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Vickie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
