Vickie George (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Vickie George, age 68, of Manhattan, KS passed away on January 11, 2018 at the University of Kansas Hospital. She was born Vickie Lucille Shuler on September 3, 1949 in Humansville, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry George of Manhattan, KS and her parents, Bill and Dixie Shuler of Aldrich, MO.
She was a loving, devoted mother who always put the needs of her children ahead of her own. She also adored her seven grandchildren and spent time with them whenever she could. Vickie never knew a stranger, and was always friendly and open to all. She enjoyed being with family, playing games, doing cross stitch, spending time with her dear friend Sandi, and
cuddling with her two Brittany Spaniels, Gus and Lucy. Her gentle voice, warm hugs, and loving disposition will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Vickie is survived by her son Brian Kingsley of Lawrence, KS, his wife Ashley and their children Miles and Corinne, her son Bradley Kingsley of Manhattan, KS, her step-son Kip George of New Bloomfield, MO, his wife Audrea and their children Parker and Leighton, her stepdaughter
Heather Fergurson of Suffolk, VA, her husband Charlie and their children Stone, Timber and Meadow (and a fourth child on the way), her brother John Shuler of Bolivar, MO, his wife Marti and their children, Craig and Jami, and her brother Rick Shuler of Bolivar MO, his wife Leslie and their children Lindsay and Kelton.
A private celebration of her life is planned for the spring. Condolences and memories may be shared via Butler Funeral Home, Bolivar, MO.
