Victor E. Stanek (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Victor Edward Stanek, age 74, passed away on August 15, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Victor was born in Bolivar, Mo. on December 30, 1948, to Emil and Virginia Stanek. He was a life-long resident of Polk County staying close to his brothers and sisters: Linda Woods, Mark Stanek, Sandra Sukovaty, Patricia Kirby, Chistopher Stanek and Nicholas Stanek.
He met his wife Lori in 1983, getting married and spending the next 39 years together on their family farm. Victor was a dedicated farmer spending his days working his cattle and tending to his field crops.
His life revolved around his wife, his children, his farm and his beloved pets: Lucy, Cleo and Diamond.
Victor was also a devout member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and served in the United States Navy overseas during the Vietnam Conflict.
Victor is survived by his loving wife, Lori Stanek, his daughter and son-in-law Megan Stanek and Mason Price, and his son and son-in-law, Justin Stanek and James Miao.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Karlin, Missouri. Military Honors will be performed at the cemetery.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to American Farmland Trust or Heifer International, organizations dedicated to helping start-up and sustainable farming around the world.
