Victor 'Vic' Fox (Seymour)'s Obituary
Victor ‘Vic’ Fox, beloved father and grandfather, unexpectedly departed this earthly life on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at his home in Seymour, Missouri. Vic was seventy-eight years and six months of age at the time of his passing.
One of three children, he was born Francis Victor Fox on March 13, 1938, to Pern Webster and Edna Belle (Allen) Fox, in Joplin, Missouri. As a young man, he worshipped at Liberty Church in rural Seymour. Vic attended Seymour schools and was a graduate of the Seymour High School Class of 1957. For many years, he worked at Dayco Rubber Manufacturing in Springfield, Missouri, and then for the Seymour Special Road District, as well as the County, until his retirement. Vic was a very avid reader of all kinds of books, especially his bible. His caring nature made him an active board member and volunteer at King’s Food Pantry in Seymour. Vic’s favorite pastime was spent at ‘The Office,’ otherwise known as McDonald’s, with his trusty coffee buddies. Vic was preceded in death by his parents; his dear grandmother, Dillie Fox; his brother, Tony Fox; and his sister, Patricia Weger. Vic leaves behind his three sons, Steve Fox of Springfield, Missouri; Brent and Crystal Fox, of Willard, Missouri; and Gregg and Lissa Fox, of Seymour; seven grandchildren, Jessica Prewitt and her husband, Jeff; Samuel, Skylar, and Seth Fox; Amanda Bedwell; and Bryce Fox; and many faithful friends. Francis Victor Fox was a devoted father, a fun-loving Poppy, a caring brother, and a loyal friend and neighbor. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, but his lifetime of memories created with them will be cherished in their hearts.
Memorials may be made to King's Food Pantry or Liberty Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
