Vincie J Lewis (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Vincie J. Lewis, son of Farmer J. and Alma Hardy Lewis, was born July 23, 1934, in Brownfield, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, August 18, 2022, in Richland Care Center, in Richland, Missouri, at the age of eighty-eight years, and twenty-five days.
On December 31, 1953, he was united in marriage to Laureda June Moorehouse, and they shared sixty-eight years before her passing on August 5, 2021.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Della Fay Lewis.
Vincie is survived by a number of nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Moorehouse; several cousins, including Dean and Pat Maxey; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Falcon community and early in his life he moved to Hartford City, Indiana. He then served his country faithfully in the United States Army for a short time. He then returned to Falcon where he made his home. Vincie worked as a farm hand picking tomatoes and also did automobile mechanic work. Vincie continued to work in automobile body repair in Lebanon for a number of years.
Vincie had recently made his profession of faith in Christ.
He loved animals and liked tinkering with things in his shop. He was a quiet man who kept to himself, but he was devoted to his wife and marriage. He also was a wonderful story teller.
Vincie was a kind man who cared for his family and friends. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established to New Home Cemetery and donations may be left at the funeral home.
