Viola Kay Wensmann (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Viola Kaye Bjornson Wensmann was born July 20th, 1947, in Pembina Coulee, near Walhalla, ND. She was the 7th of 10 children. The Bjornsons moved to Isle, MN when she was 10. Her best friend growing up was her cousin Connie Einarson. She was a loving mother of seven children. Vi was preceded in death by her daughter Carol (Wensmann) Monnich, parents Annie (Kram) and Hugh Bjornson, brothers Tom Bjornson and Jake Bjornson, sister Martha (Bjornson) Tienter, granddaughter Christine Waddill Mcguire, husband Don Wensmann, partner Fred Lahr and partner Bill Flannery as well as daughter in law Melissa Wensmann and son in law Roger Perryman. She is survived by her children Michelle (Wensmann) Waddill, Kristin (Wensmann) Perryman, Patrick Wensmann, Theresa (Lahr) Michrina(Matt), Justin Lahr (Terese) and Nina Lahr as well as grandchildren: Annie Wadill, Katie Perryman, Kari Perryman, Scott Harris, Donald Monnich, Lindsey Jackson, Paisley (McAllister) Horn and Raleigh Lahr as well as great grandson Lee Sleeth. She is survived by several siblings and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a loving mother to her 7 children. She instilled in them her love of animals and nature. She also loved going on many adventures with her family. She was known to love a good story and was quick witted with her spicy jokes. She loved people and their stories. Through good times and bad, no matter who was at the house she always made sure they got taken care of just like her mom did. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
