Violet Mae Meadows (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Violet Mae Meadows, daughter of the late Arthur Ernest and Lily Mae (Shelton) Abney, was born on February 22, 1946 in Charity, MO and passed away on October 19, 2025 in Bolivar, MO. At the time of her passing she was 79 years, seven months, and 26 days of age. Violet was raised near Charity and Buffalo, MO. She was united in marriage to James William Meadows on June 1, 1963 in Tunas, MO and to this union one daughter, Stacey was born. Violet was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and participated in volunteer Bible education work for most of her adult life. Violet was preceded in death by her husband James; her parents; one brother, Arthur James Abney; one sister, Elsie Lamar; and a nephew, Terry Abney. She is survived by her daughter, Stacey and husband David Olson; her grandchildren; and her great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nephews, cousins, and many close friends who will all truly miss her. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025 in the Kingdom Hall in Buffalo, MO with Michael McGaha officiating.
