Virginia Louise Hull (Humansville)'s Obituary
Virginia Louise Hull, 95, of Collins, MO, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at CMH Hospital, Bolivar. She was born on October 29, 1921, on a farm west of Collins. She was the daughter of Albert H. and Susie Myrtle Waggoner Worthington. She grew up in the Collins area and was a life-long resident. Virginia graduated from Collins High School in 1939, and got her teaching certification at Central Missouri State Teachers College in Warrensburg. She taught school for several years at Prairie Schoolhouse before her marriage to Darwin Minks. She later worked as a Teacher's Aide and School Secretary before retiring from Collins Elementary School.
On May 25, 1946, she married Samuel Darwin Minks. They had two children, Raymond Gary Minks and Dana Minks Beamish. After the death of Darwin Minks in 1999, she married Walter C. Hull on June 15, 2002.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one sister Lois Smith; two brothers, Gordon Worthington, and Mac Allen Worthington who died in infancy. She is survived by her son, Ray (Sarah), of Sterling, VA; daughter, Dana (Warren), of Fordland, MO; step- daughter, Charlotte Johnson, of Hermitage, MO; one granddaughter, Virginia Minks (Frank Zamary) of Columbus, OH; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; nephews C.A. Smith (Peggy) of Collins, Jim Smith (Tammie) of Clinton, and Donnie and Mike Worthington.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home in Humansville at 10 AM, and visitation Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 6- 8 PM with Brother Zach Durnell, Pastor of Coon Creek Baptist Church, officiating. Pallbearers were: Randy Smith, ~eland Smith, Mark Smith, Gerald Keller, Frank Zamary and Melvin Nance. Honorary Pallbearers were C.A. Smith and Jim Smith. Interment was in Freeman-Holsapple Cemetery, Collins, under the direction of Bultler Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Coon Creek Baptist Church, 1503 Coon Creek St., P.o.
