Virginia L. Ehlers' Obituary
Virginia Lanice Ehlers, daughter of, Ralph and Della Walton Seevers, was born January 16, 1920, in St. Louis, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, May 5, 2006, in her home, in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years, three months and nineteen days. On September 12, 1936, she was united in marriage to Henry Karl Ehlers, who preceded her in death on June 16, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son, Henry Karl Ehlers, Jr., and a daughter, Wanda Holcomb. Virginia is survived by three sons, Larry, Clifton, and Joseph Ehlers, all of Seymour, Missouri; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wallace Seevers, and his wife, Mary, of Tomy, Missouri, and Lawrence Seevers, and his wife, Ernestine, of Seymour, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of others relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the St. Louis area. After she and Henry were married they entered the ministry, and moved to Montana, California, Texas and Arizona doing the Lord’s work and helping to build churches until his retirement. They then moved to the Seymour area where they have made their home for the last twenty-four years. Virginia had made her profession of faith in Christ and was of the Assembly of God faith. She worked beside her husband, in the calling to build the kingdom above, where she now abides. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, going to garage sales with her family, and sewing, as she was an excellent seamstress. Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. Her memory will live in our hearts forever. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2006, in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery, Seymour Missouri. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
