Virginia Lucille Severns (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Virginia Lucille Severns, age 77 of Bolivar passed away Tuesday Morning, August 2, 2011 at the Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar after a brief illness.
She was born in Eldorado Springs in Cedar County, Missouri the daughter of Paul Sallee and Alma (Mann) Sallee on August 28, 1933.
Virginia was a longtime employee of the Continental Telephone Co. and a member of the Wentzville Christian Church. She was a graduate of the East Wichita High School in Wichita, KS. Virginia married Durward Lee Severns in July, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas.
Surviving is her husband Durward Lee Severns of the couples home in Bolivar; 5 sons, Don Severns and wife Beverly of Castle Rock, CO; Darrell Severns and wife Ruth of Centennial, CO; Russell Severns and wife Nancy of Loxahatchee, FL; Richard Severns of Wright City, MO and Douglas Severns and wife Jeanee of St. Peters, MO; Also 3 sisters, Pauline Oder and husband Don of Chicago, IL; Judy McKinney and husband Ross of Richmond, VA and Dolores Leutschaft and husband Ed of Minneapolis, MN. Also 7 grandchildren; Sonya Larson and husband James of Jacksonville, FL; Myhra Severns-Jose and husband Jason of Henderson, CO; Lori Bowman and husband Brian of Aurora, CO; Gage Severns and Kayla Severns both of Wright City, MO; Christopher Severns and Elijah Severns both of Loxahatchee, FL. Also 4 great great-grandchildren, Joey, Hannah and Ben Bowman and Jake Jose.
A Visitation will be held in the Butler Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday evening August 4, 2011. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 5, 2011 at the Butler funeral Home Chapel in Bolivar. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Buffalo, MO.
