Virginia Ruiz's Obituary
Virginia Faye Ruiz, daughter of Harold and Clara Jones Bell, was born January 6, 1943, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, April 9, 2007, in Christian Health Care North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, three months, and three days. Early in her life she was united in marriage to Jose Trinidad Ruiz, and to this union one daughter and two sons were born. She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Jose; and a brother, Marion Kennedy. Virginia is survived by her mother, Clara Bell, of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Yvonne Ibarra, of Pacheco, California; two sons, Lawrence Ruiz, of Seattle, Washington, and Bill Ruiz, of the State of California; several grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Richardson, of the State of Florida, and Kenneth Kennedy, of the State of New York; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Lebanon community, and graduated from Lebanon High School. She then lived in Utah for a few years before moving to California and making her home in the Oakland area. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Virginia worked for the Bank of America for twenty-five years. Virginia had made her profession of faith in Christ and was an active member of Fruitvale Christian Church in California, where she worked in the youth ministry. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers, and doing craft projects. She was a very concerned person who was always willing to help people in need. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Virginia was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials to The American Cancer Society may be made through the funeral home.
