Virginia Lee Williams (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Virginia Lee Williams, daughter of Jesse and Viola Marler Wallander, was born October 28, 1936, in Decaturville, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, October 2, 2020, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, eleven months, and four days.
On October 11, 1951, she was united in marriage to Jason L. Williams and to this union three daughters and three sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jason; a daughter, Billie Jean Williams; a son, Kevin Williams; three brothers, Jimmy, Kenny, and Jerry Wallander; and a half-brother, Jeffrey Wallander.
Virginia is survived by two daughters, Teresa Hough, and her husband, Bruce, of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Vicki England, and her special friend, Dennis Fred, of Columbia, Missouri; two sons, Rick Williams, and his wife, Susie, and Jason L. Williams, all of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; a brother, Jackie Wallander, and his wife, Judy, of Decaturville, Missouri; a half-brother, Randal Wallander, and his wife, Marsha, of Camdenton, Missouri; a half-sister, Brenda Tribble, and her husband, Darrel, of Macks Creek, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and lived all of her life there except for a brief time when she lived in Davenport, Iowa. She and Jason made their home near Lebanon and lovingly raised their children. Virginia was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and also worked for the H. D. Lee Company for over twenty years. Virginia served in a dedicated act of love and kindness in taking care of her special needs son, Jason.
In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, playing Bingo, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and playing card games of all kinds. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family will hold tight to the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
A memorial has been established to the Laclede Area Developmental Center and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
